Hi all, and welcome to The Wayfarer Inn - Defias Brotherhood forum.
This board is for the folks whom like to visit the RP hub in Silvermoon City on the Defias Brotherhood Realm of the game World of Warcraft.
Why a Forum?
This forum was initially made to give the dedicated staff that ICly works in the bar the opportunity to check on the prices we handle ingame, so we don't get all kinds of different prices.
Also, it's easier and more fair to give everyone a chance to apply for an ingame job, and hand in their resume's.
From there, enthousiasm grew a bit, and with this, we descided to make a forum one can use as a common, social hub outside of the game, for instance, to post In Character recruitment posters, or have some downtime RP when the realm is down.
Also, feel free to interact Out of Character, and babble about the upcoming features of Warcraft, or general social non-game related things.
However, like with every forum, there are some Rules.
1. Post to the Appropriate forums.
Read the description of the boards if you do not know where to post your message. In Character goes into the In Character category, Out of Character goes in Out of Character category. It's really not that hard.
2. No flamewars and trolling
Yes, I know I play a troll, but you get the idea. If there is something you do not agree with, send the poster a PM. Everyone's entitled to play out their own stories. However, in your own stories, also respect that of others, and the sometimes -VERY LONG- storylines allready going on... and thus...
3. Respect other people on this board and in the game.
Like mentioned, some people have long going storylines, which have part-took in the game for years, maybe even since the launch of WoW Vanilla. Respect such. Ofcourse, respect should not remain In Character only. Respect the people on this board, and their choice in religion, opinion and lifestyle. After all, no matter how much you differ, we all have two shared passions here: World of Warcraft and Roleplay.
4. Keep in mind there are people of all AGES.
Not only is it against the ToS of this board, but also a littlebit of common sense. I'm not saying we should all be cotton mouthed daisy-picking pacifists, but keep in mind that no things like the standard things (Porn etc) should be posted or referred to here.
A littlebit of common sense is all we need in this case.
5. Keep in mind dat IC is IC and OOC is OOC.
No, this time, I'm not referring to where to post. This time, I'm referring to behavior. If a person during Roleplay gives you an attitude, it doesn't mean he's giving you an attitude in real life. More than once have people reported to a GM for being harassed, while the behavior was purely RP. Think twice before you take things personal. Ask, if you're uncertain. But don't judge by a character's behavior.
6. "Can't keep to the rules, there's the door."
We want everyone on this forum to feel comfortable and safe. If you can't stick to the simple and common sense rules displayed above, you will receive a warning. A second warning may apply if the problem keeps coming back, and your behavior doesn't improve.
At the third warning, a ban will be given.
We want everyone to feel comfortable and safe, and if your behavior goes against a few simple rules, you have no place here.
